Located a couple of minutes further out from Kelk, not far from Kruispoort, this pub has been open quite a while but I’m not sure when its beer list improved to its current level. However, it now lists around 135 beers on a really interesting list. The six drafts aren’t particularly amazing (though I’ve seen a lot worse) but its main strength lies in the bottled selection – it’s got a really good range of lambics, and lots of beers from newer breweries alongside the classics. They also offer a short but serviceable range of food options. The staff are welcoming and friendly, the service is sharp and efficient, and overall this slightly off the beaten track place is well worth a visit. NB: it's immediately next door to Lion Belge, which serves huge portions of Flemish classics. No reservations, but you can normally get in even if a short wait is required. Highly recommended.
